In yesterday's session, the House approved the accession of Corrientes to the National Traffic Law No. 26,393 established a regulatory framework for the various offenses that can occur on public roads with a vehicle.

This legislation also establishes a system of infringement spot, known as "Scoring", which applies in the Federal Capital, Buenos Aires and several provinces.

This legislation creates the National Highway Traffic Safety Agency, as a decentralized agency. The same mission is to reduce the accident rate in the country, through promotion, coordination, control and monitoring of road safety policies, national and international.




Corrientes joined the National Traffic Act and Road Safety

Executive Director of the National Highway Traffic Safety Agency, Felipe Rodríguez Laguens said today that "the accession of the province of Corrientes to the National Traffic Act and Road Safety, and are 20 provinces in addition to working with the national government to reduce road accidents."

Rodríguez Laguens also said that "it is a political-institutional very important" because in this way "continues to strengthen road safety as a State policy aimed at saving lives."

Meanwhile, districts that have not yet joined are: San Luis, Córdoba, Santa Fe and Entre Rios.
